The Perfect Backyard Bar: Head to Mini Bar for Cocktails and Cornhole
Nestled in Naples’ Design District is one of the best outdoor bars with a casual Floridian vibe. If you want your happy hour to feel like you’re in someone’s backyard, then head over to Mini Bar, replete with umbrellas and outdoor games.
Mini Bar has a rotating roster of live music and no reservations required—a casual happy hour distinct from the usual swanky Naples atmosphere. The cocktails get rave reviews but you can also opt to buy a six-pack (although there's a bit of a mark-up). Their menu is substantial, with apps like bang bang shrimp and vegan ceviche (hearts of palm), various sliders, and tacos. Mini Bar, despite its name, is also a great place to bring kids—they'll enjoy playing the gigantic Connect 4 or cornhole while you sip on a delicious cocktail.
The best part? Mini Bar can just be your first stop. Mini Bar is connected to other ventures like The Alley, Staff Only and The District, all different spaces and menus operating out of a single kitchen. Grab drinks al fresco at Mini Bar, then continue your night through the different vibes of the connected spaces—a sports bar, speakeasy and sushi restaurant. Locals at The Naples Florida Review sat down with the owner and got the full scoop on their unique venture, see below!

Last Thursday, I had a chance to sit down with Christopher Shucart — the guy who owns the real estate and the concept behind The District Naples and their three associated concepts. He went straight from a perfectly timed real estate purchase to an unfamiliar restaurant business. I still think he might be insane for that – but I completely appreciate that he’s caught the restaurant bug.
If you’re not familiar, The District is that sprawling building in the middle of town — in an insanely desirable location, just footsteps from Fifth Avenue between 41 and Goodlette on Central Ave, and right where tourists want to be during season and locals love to access in the offseason — with four different bars, plus two other businesses you might know: The Bowl and Yacht Club Subs (both big personal favorites).
