Prime Social Reserve Brings a New Kind of Exclusivity to Fifth Avenue South
Naples has always had a taste for places that feel a little hard to get into. Prime Social Reserve, the new rooftop restaurant from the Cameron Mitchell group behind Del Mar and Ocean Prime, fits that instinct neatly. Opened in October above Fifth Avenue South, it arrives with a clear message: this is not just dinner, it is access.
At 837 Fifth Avenue South, the restaurant sits in a roughly 7,300-square-foot indoor-outdoor space reached by a dedicated elevator, and the climb up is part of the point. Enter through a lit archway with greenery into a swanky dining room. The rooftop deck, with its striped umbrellas and layers of greenery, has the feel of a private terrace at a California hotel. The interior lies somewhere between a megayacht and a Japanese fusion restaurant, with palm trees inside, too. It’s upscale, but not as stiff as many a Michelin dining room.
The draw? Prime Social Reserve is operating on a VIP, membership-only model, and the benefits are straightforward: guaranteed reservations for parties of four, plus options for your guests to reserve tables of four unaccompanied, as well as access to special events including tastings, receptions, chef dinners, and winemaker nights. There’s also a dedicated personal concierge to ensure reservations and special requests are met. Yes, there’s a dress code that prohibits t-shirts, and the VIP list is already sold out, with a waiting list that anticipates being able to accept people through 2026.
The menu promises the same elevated experience. This is an upscale, composed dining room, not a place built around oversized portions or predictable steakhouse rituals. The kitchen is focused on hand-rolled sushi, seafood, Wagyu, caviar service, and shareable small plates, with cocktails and wine that belong to the same world of polished, lingering dinners. It’s a menu that works when the table wants to sample, talk, and stretch the evening out rather than move quickly through courses.
The larger Cameron Mitchell network gives the concept an additional layer of appeal. VIP access extends across the group’s restaurants. This means priority reservations to Ocean Prime and Del Mar, as well as the 70 other restaurants in their portfolio around the country. This makes the membership model especially attractive to people who split time between Naples and other cities, or who simply like knowing there are always seats waiting at their favorite spots.
Prime Social Reserve also lands at the right moment for Naples, building an unmistakable appetite for private clubs, invitation-only rooms, and dining spaces that offer more than a reservation. It is dressed for a crowd that likes beautiful rooms, selective access and guaranteed seats. While the Naples locals love to make a reservation, Prime Social is offering a more exclusive seat that already has a waitlist.
