Best of 2024: Top 5 Sushi Restaurants in Naples, Florida

In case you don’t want to eat Whole Foods sushi again—and trust us, you deserve something better—check out The Naples Florida Review’s top 5 sushi restaurants to try in Naples. While it’s true that outstanding sushi usually has a price tag, this list includes casual options and happy hour deals in addition to four-dollar sign establishments. If you love sashimi, or would be lured by yellowtail crudo, you will find wonderful options to choose from. There’s even a “Lover Roll” which combines spicy tuna on the inside and fresh tuna on the outside in a delightful duo.

This list will prioritize sushi restaurants that have outstanding raw fish that doesn’t need any rice or sauce or frills to make it excellent. We have found, along the way, that many of the sushi restaurants with the highest quality fish are also the most expensive. For the pricier options (I’ve ranked each $ to $$$$) I’ve tried to indicate Happy Hour times or deals.

5. Maguro ($$)
What to get: Tuna Taco, Lover Roll

Maguro is a laid-back sushi spot in North Naples that consistently delivers clever, well-crafted rolls and solid sushi appetizer options. From the Sushi Appetizer menu we like the Tuna Taco and the Yellowtail with Sliced Jalapeno. The tuna taco is served with avocado, tomato and seaweed on a crispy “Asian taco.” The yellowtail/jalapeno appetizer is good as well, and a bargain compared to other restaurants, but it is not my favorite in Naples. The Lover Roll, which combines spicy tuna on the inside of the roll and fresh tuna on the outside. The honey wasabi adds an unexpected kick.

4. Dusk ($$$$)
What to get: Scallop Roll, Sashimi

Dusk, located at the Ritz Carlton on the beach, is currently getting a “refresh,” but it should be open any day now. The atmosphere is upscale, dark and chic, and the sushi menu is pared down and straight forward. The fish and ingredients are excellent, but this is the most expensive location on this list. With quality fish like this, lean into the sashimi options – there’s a decent selection of raw fish and the emphasis is on quality. The Scallop Roll, which includes scallop, yamagobo and avocado garlic-onion sambal, is also a great option. Want to know who cracked the top three spots?
