Best Casual Waterfront Dining in Naples: Buzz's Lighthouse

One of the best dives in Naples is located on the water, which seems too good to be true. Buzz's Lighthouse has been around since the 70s, when Henry and Judy Dugan found a perfect parcel of land just a short walk from Vanderbilt beach. Buzz's Lighthouse continues to be a steady, fun local spot with all the charm of Old Florida and none of the pretension. Recently featured in The Naples Florida Review as one of the best dives in Naples, Buzz's should be included on your next itinerary.

The star of this menu is Buzz's Grouper Reuben, a south Florida staple of fresh grouper cooked your way (blackened, broiled or fried), cole slaw, and creamy dressing on the traditional rye bread. Guests also love the half-pound peel and eat shrimp that comes with your choice of cocktail sauce or butter. Complete the meal with a very reasonably priced drink—$5 mocktails, $6 beers, and $12 margaritas.

After a walk on the beach, treat yourself to lunch or early dinner at Buzz's Lighthouse. You'll get all the charm of waterfront dining without the traditional mark-ups, making this the perfect vacation lunch or dinner spot.

Buzz’s Lighthouse

9180 Gulf Shore Dr, Naples, FL 34108

When to go? After a stroll on the beach across the street.

What to get: Coconut Shrimp

Drink specials, peel n’ eat shrimp and a view of the water? Sign me up! A short (slightly dangerous with seasonal traffic) jaunt across Bonita Beach Road from the Turtle Club’s $25 Bloody Mary, Buzz’s Lighthouse has the Sunday morning cure at half that price, and you still get to look at the water! The peel and eat shrimp are great, the service is friendly and the view is wonderful.
