A Favorite Summer Lunch in Naples, FL: Sandwiches at Dolce & Salato

The best answer to what you should eat for lunch in Naples? A sandwich at Dolce & Salato.

In the heart of the historic downtown district on Fifth Avenue South this boutique Italian cafe offers more than just style. Founded by Italy-born food and wine aficionados Agostino Nastasi and Natascia Marchesi, Dolce & Salato crafts generous sandwiches on fresh country bread packed with flavor.

Among the many standout offerings, the Chicken and Goat Cheese Sandwich is one of the best sandwiches in Naples, Florida, according to The Naples Florida Review. Served fresh, with premium ingredients and a presentation that lives up to the motto “you eat with your eyes first,” this sandwich is a must-try. With a beautifully canopied garden and thoughtfully curated Italian imports, Dolce & Salato is the perfect summer lunch spot.

Dolce & Salato – Chicken & Goat Cheese - $19.95

The Chicken & Goat Cheese Sandwich from Dolce & Salato is worth the price tag. This hole-in-the-wall breakfast and lunch spot is squeezed behind Bice on the corner of 5th Avenue South and 3rd Street South. During season I recommend parking on 3rd Street South on the street in front of The Escalante Hotel. Everything I’ve tried on Dolce & Salato’s menu has been excellent, but the Chicken & Goat Cheese Sandwich is a stand-out. Crusty, fresh French bread (which is what really makes it) is layered with a generous portion of grilled chicken, avocado, goat cheese, lettuce, tomato and olive oil. The sandwich comes with chips and a green salad, and it’s worth every bite. - The Naples Florida Review
